Last night we said good bye to 2009 and today we head home from our winter holiday in Colorado. On we head into 2010 beginning with a car trip home to Illinois. Soon we shall return to our routine which includes school for the oldest 3, work for Daddy, weekly errands, dance classes, football training, basketball practices, and home alone time with Mommy for the twins.
Our vacation was much needed and appreciated. The older kids enjoyed skiing and boarding with Daddy, Uncle Mike, Uncle Bill, and Grandma G.G. The twins put their snowsuits, boots, and mittens to use when sledding in front of the house. Everyone enjoyed lots of great food including dinner at Splendidos, take out from Old Forge Pizza and Lark Burger, and lots of yummy home cooked meals.
There were 16 of us here in total to enjoy this magical time and I am certain we will be recanting tales from this holiday for many many years to come. How blessed we all are to have a location like this to gather.

Our twins learned to walk and even talk a bit. Our oldest son graduated 8th grade and moved on to high school. There were starring roles in Christmas programs and amazing dance recitals just to name a few. There were even fabulously ordinary days where we did little and enjoyed it a lot.
I'd like to think 2010 will be filled to the brim with happiness and joy, but I know each year, each month, each day has it's ups and downs. And so we begin with Day 1 ...
