Shhh! Don't tell my Kids what General Mills is doing.

There was a time, not so long ago, when moms feared navigating the cereal isle for fear of the sugary cereal pleas from their children.

My oldest is 15 and I remember this time all too well.  However, you may have noticed that navigating this isle is getting easier and easier thanks to the commitment of companies such as General Mills.

General Mills has been reducing sugar in their cereals while increasing key nutrients, such as calcium and vitamin D, and providing whole grain.  They've recently announced an even further commitment to these efforts by vowing to reduce cereals advertised to kids under 12 to single digit grams of sugar per serving.

I've turned this knowledge to my advantage and potentially boosted myself on the "Mom of the Year" spectrum.  Utilizing the 4 General Mills Cereal Box Vouchers provided to me by MyBlogSpark on behalf of General Mills, I allowed my kids to pick out some of their most coveted cereals as a "special treat".  They chose Trix, Cookie Crisp, Apple Cinnamon Cheerios, and Lucky Charms.

Want to use this knowledge to your advantage too?  Right now if you visit here you will find a $1 off coupon for one of four General Mills cereals.  Additionally, you can click here to find additional kid's cereal information provided by General Mills.
