I'm certain you are all well aware of the benefits and importance of drinking water. Unfortunately, many of us find that simply drinking water from your home tap is not ideal or even recommended. Tap water may contain lead, parasitic cysts, non-pathogenic micro-organisms and unpleasant levels of chlorine. Some tap water issues can pose health risks to you and your family, while others simply make your water taste and smell bad.
Our city tap water has a lead issue, so we have had bottled water delivered for quite some time now. It was better then taking our chance with the lead issues, but far from convenient and obviously an added expense I'd love to eliminate. We had to find a spot for the cooler, find a spot to store all the jug refills, and come up with an amount of water needed so we didn't end up without for a week or two until our next delivery. And of course, the jug always ran out when all the strong bodies were gone, leaving me to change the darn thing. Those days are gone now though.
Zuvo provided us with an under counter model of their water purator for review and we became instant fans. Installation was super easy, my husband had it up and running in about 30 minutes. If you prefer, Zuvo also offers an above the counter model that is ready in minutes.
The whole family agrees, the water from our dedicated Zuvo faucet tastes great. We've been using the Zuvo faucet since right around Thanksgiving time and don't miss our bottled water at all. Gone is the large cooler and jugs, the worries about plastics leeching into our water from their containers, and the extra expense and hassle incurred with water delivery. Gone also is the lead and other nasty stuff from our tap water, making drinking from a household faucet actually possible.
Aside from the rare occasion where we have to change out the filter or bulb, our water is now hassle free and far less expensive to acquire. The filter needs to be changed about every 6 months and the bulb should last about 7-10 years. According to their site, Zuvo comes in at around 6 cents per gallon putting it well below the price of other faucet and pitcher water systems too.
If you are like me, you probably want some more info on how it works. Let's face it, it is hard to see the bad stuff in water to begin with, so how do we really know the stuff is gone? Zuvo has a 5 step process to clean the water that you can read all about how it works here. I think you'll find that the process is setup rather impressively. If you find you'd like to give it a try yourself, take the Zuvo 60 day risk-free challenge.
Perhaps your children will be as impressed as mine were with the ability to drink water at home from the tap.
