Vtech MobiGo Touch Learning System {Review and Giveaway}

Just in time for summer vacation comes the Vtech MobiGo Touch and Learning System complete with a touch screen like mommy and daddy's iPhone and a Qwerty slide out keyboard just like big brother's cell phone.  Better still, it's sturdy yet small and light design enable Mommy to fit one or two of these in her diaper bag or purse without sacrificing her favorite sunglasses and go to lipgloss.

With a daughter who just turned 9 and twin sons who will be 2 in June, we were able to test the full range of fun a bit on this new Vtech portable gaming and learning system aimed at the 3-8 crowd.

The verdict?  We need more than one.  We were sent this neat new system for review recently and it's hardly had an "off" moment since it's arrival.  Once again this summer we will be road tripping to Colorado with the entire family of 7 and this time the Vtech MobiGo will be coming too.  This has all the cool features kids covet from big people phones, with the added bonus of educational play including lovable characters.

The touch screen makes the MobiGo super easy for even my "technically" too little twin boys to interact with this new system on a basic level.  And while Mommy needs to turn it on and get them to the right game, once there they've actually gotten pretty good at sliding their finger across the screen to move objects and trace lines.  Plus they adore typing on the slide in and out Qwerty keyboard (even though they aren't sure what it is they are doing quite yet).  I can easily see them being Masters of MobiGo in another 6 months.

My 9 year old picked up this system and began playing everything like an old pro.  "technically" a touch too old, she has really enjoyed playing with it.  In fact, she's been begging to bring it to a sleep over tonight to share the experience with her friends.  Among activities on the various included MobiGo Touch & Learn cartridge, she's been reviewing math facts, playing the music games, and manipulating objects.

The MobiGo is available in blue (as pictured) or pink and is priced at $59.99.  It comes with a USB cable for downloading more games, takes 4 AA batteries, includes a jack for an AC adapter, a jack for headphones, and will be available at Toys R Us starting 6/7.  Additional accessories can be purchased for the MobiGo including a game case and game cartridges priced at $19.99.  Titles include:  Toy Story 3, Disney Fairies, Ben 10, NASCAR, Shrek 4, Dora the Explorer, Super Hero Squad, and Mr. Men to name a few.
