Often times, it's all about food with the teenage boys in our household and on the frontline is their adoration for deli sandwiches. Much to their dismay, it's not practical or affordable for us to be getting them "to-go" deli lunches every single day. The poor dears are often forced to survive off of sandwiches mom made at home. Worse still, they are frequently told to make their own. However, we've all had a chance to jazz up our sandwiches lately with a selection of peppers and olives provided for review by the brand Mezzetta.
The new deli sliced line of Mezzetta products is both yummy and brilliant. Who has time to be slicing peppers and such during the morning rush? The boys are loving the addition of Deli Sliced JalapeƱo Peppers and Roasted Sweet Bell Pepper Strips. The whole pitted Calamata Olives have also been popular. They definitely give that "deli" feel to what normally is dubbed a very ordinary lunch. I'll definitely be stocking up on more to keep the "magic" in those countless school lunches.
Think your sandwich inventions are deli worthy? Mezzetta, a family-owned company in the Napa Valley, is offering moms a chance at some relief by doing what they do best -- being creative! Their annual Make That Sandwich Contest with a $25,000 prize to be awarded to the most inventive sandwich made with Mezzetta products ends September 6th. It’s a contest perfect for moms as, really, who makes more sandwiches on a regular basis?
