Flip & Tumble reusable bags

I have a pair of new bags in my reusable shopping bag collection, Flip & Tumble.  This is exciting because I only shop for food once every 1-2 weeks so when I go, I buy a ton of groceries for my family of 7.

I did my big shop at the local Target this week.  I noticed that when checking out, I was once again the only shopper who brought reusable bags.  Additionally, the checkout person acted a touch like I'd thrown off his game by bringing them.  Perhaps he was fairly new and this was a first for him or is it that I'm the only one actually using them?

Anyone else greening up by bringing their own shopping bags to the store?  Did you know that Target gives you 5 cents back per bag you bring?  Any other stores offering discounts?

The Flip & Tumble Bags are top notch.  The bag holds twice as much as a plastic grocery bag at a maximum weight of about 25 lbs.  The styling is well done with fun colors and a contrasting shade on the single strap.  The single shoulder strap is something I prefer, it's easier to carry several that way and eliminates the hassle of trying to grab multiple sets of bag handles.  The shoulder strap even has a little felt pad to make it comfortable when worn for a while.  Plus, they easily fold back up into a small ball when not in use.

Speaking of use, the use of these lightweight sturdy bags can extend well beyond shopping.  You could use one as a lunch sack for the child "too old" for a lunch box, take them out trick-or-treating, fill it with beach gear ... the possibilities are bountiful.

* My thanks to Flip & Tumble who provided me with the product mentioned above to facilitate this review.
