The Powermat makes our "back to school" list due to it's ability to organize students and parents alike. What's not to love about something that reduces the devices and cords needed to charge their many devices down to just 1?
When not traveling with us, our portable powermat resides in the room my two oldest sons share charging all their assorted gear. However, my oldest has already called "dibs" on it when he leaves for college in a couple years. It really is the perfect system for a busy student. They can charge cellphones, iPhones, PSP systems, iPods, Nintendo DS systems and more all on this one device.
The ease of placing things on and taking things off the powermat is golden, and easy is an essential for today's busy students. Throw it on when they walk in, grab it off when the dart off. If only homework was that easy.
