Last September my daughter, Cordelia, helped me review a doll line by MGA called Moxie Girlz. Cordelia still enjoys playing with the sweet tween inspired Moxie Girlz a year later, so I knew she'd be thrilled to try a doll from the new Moxie Teenz line that's arriving now in stores.
Moxie Teenz are 14” dolls that feature similar realistic eyes, interchangeable wigs, and 15 points of articulation. They are designed to be older and more sophisticated than the Moxie Girlz dolls.
The first four Moxie Teenz characters to release, Melrose, Arizona, Tristen, and Bijou, have a storyline that allows them to do everything from attending college to performing on Broadway. Essentially, this Moxie Teenz aspect gives girls a way to act out the life they as little girls aspire to live when they hit their teens.
Cordelia has had a lot of fun with this newest doll. She considers it the older sister to her Moxie Girlz dolls and roleplays with the doll much in the way Moxie Teenz creators intended. The high amount of articulation in these dolls combined with their more sophisticated looks has made for lots of additional fun for my daughter. I should also note that while the Moxie Teenz outfits are definitely a bit funkier, the apparel does not cross the line to trashy or revealing.
* Much thanks to MGA for providing a doll from this exciting new line for Cordelia and I to review.
