Voskos Greek Yogurt

The benefits of yogurt as a top health food are all over the news lately, which is good news for our household as we are all huge fans.  We often eat yogurt with berries and granola in the morning, put yogurt it in our homemade smoothies, and even cook with it.  However, we'd never tried the Voskos Greek Yogurt.  In fact, this was our first time trying any brand of greek yogurt.

The differences are evident in physical appearance,  taste, and in nutritional value.  According to the Voskos website, their Greek Yogurt has less lactose, twice the protein over ordinary yogurt, is high in potassium, and has an increased count in probiotics.  Which all further strengthens the position of this yogurt as a top health food in my book.

Of course, as moms know, none of the health benefits are relevant at all if the food doesn't look and taste good to your kids.  So how did Voskos Greek Yogurt fair with mine?

The kids noted the yogurt looked a little different. They remarked correctly that it was thicker looking on their spoons.  Taste was deemed as slightly more tangy but not in a bad way, they all gobbled it up.  The biggest set of applause went to Voskos when used it in our smoothies. The thicker texture it added was a huge crowd pleaser.  In fact, the crowd now demands I use only Voskos in the smoothies from here on out.

*Much thanks to Voskos for providing these samples for my review. I'll definitely be looking for it at a stores.
