As holiday shopping begins to come into focus for many readers, I wanted to tell you about a company called Guidecraft. It seems they have been in the Educational toys and furniture business since 1964. For over 40 years, Guidecraft has been provided parents with plenty of play options for their children.
I had a chance to review one of Guidecraft's new 2010 products, an oversized bunk bed designed for dolls or stuffed animals up to 21" long. The wooden bunk bed comes in colors, natural or espresso, with a 3 piece bedding set for each bunk. The natural bunk bed we selected had bedding in blue.Assembly went without a hitch. The directions were simple to follow and the process was not over complicated. This was good since one of our two twin toddler boys was anxiously awaiting the entire assembly process to test the bunk with his favorite stuffed bear "Chip". Declan even helped us out a bit along the way. Lucky Us? The good news is we managed to avoid having two helpers by building the bunk bed while one of the twins still napped.
The twins and their bears have been putting the bunk bed to constant use since it arrived. We've found it to be of very high quality. It's proven to be sturdy enough to withstand the always creative and sometimes rough play of our two toddler twin boys.
