Did you hear all this business on the news about stores starting the holiday sales early? Some are even beginning this week. Yikes! I've got to get going on some sort of holiday shopping list of items to watch.
If you are shopping for a boy in the age 5 & up crowd, you may want to check out some of the latest offerings in the popular Hasbro Transformers line-up. The neat thing about Transformer toys is they allow for plenty of roleplaying fun complete with physical transformations of the toys from one object to another. One minute it's a car and the next a robot with laser shooting thing, cool stuff right there.
We were sent a few of these to try first hand (for purposes of this review) including Leadfoot with Pinpoint. This 2-pack includes one Scout scale Transformers figure. Their changes include both a robot and vehicle mode. And to further extend the play Mini-Cons and drone vehicles (sold separately) can attach to power up any Commander figure. Also cool was the Mudslinger with Destructicons set.
Directions are provided to show your child how to switch from one mode to another. Most kids won't need them after doing it once or twice, but some transformations are more complicated then others. Moms should note that packaging includes a handy level rank for difficulty. Both sets mentioned above are "marked" as level 3 of 5 which they deem as intermediate.
