The reality is I currently lack the time to actually cook and bake like they do though. As a mommy of 5 it's all about keeping it quick and simple. With that in mind, I'm always looking for tips, hints, and modifications that make things like a boxed cake or brownie mix look and taste like more.
My latest secret weapon are extracts from Nielsen-Massey. They provided me with a couple bottles for review and I went to work. A teaspoon or two of the coffee extract to a boxed brownie mix or canned chocolate frosting took it too a rich new level. A dash of lemon extract in the yellow cake mix was yummy too. Orange extract in the sugar cookies ... you get the picture. So Good! If I could give you a taste via my post I would. I can't, but I can give you a chance to win some.
