Dear Stephanie: Should I get the Stroll-Air My Duo or the Bumbleride Indie Twin?

I've reviewed two double strollers with the help of my twins here on And Twins make 5!, the Stroll-Air My Duo Stroller and the Bumbleride Indie Twin.  Both posts get daily visits from Moms and Dads seeking reviews to help them on their quest for the perfect double stroller.

I can completely relate, as I spent hours and hours reading blogs myself with "double stroller" on the brain when I was pregnant with my twins.  Many of these parents email me with additional questions I do my best to answer.  With these questions landing in my box at least twice a month, I thought it best I try to compile all your questions into one post on the subject.

The most asked question is "Which of these two double strollers is better?"

My Answer:  All of my emails back to readers have begun something like this, "In regards to the two strollers I reviewed,  I think both of the Bumbleride and the Stroll-Air are excellent choices.  My choice on which I prefer shouldn't be as important to you as which I think you'd prefer the most.  In order to determine which you would prefer, you'll need to consider the general ages of kids that will use it, how old will your kids be when they stop using it, what is the strollers main intended uses, will it be mainly urban vs. will it be off the beaten path, what is your car trunk space like, and other related details.

"Which stroller will best fit my big sized kids?" is another regular question.

My Answer:  Both strollers can easily hold twins age 4-5+, you likely saw the photo of my daughter sitting in the stroll-air at 8 in my review.

I should mention though, getting 2 1/2 year old toddlers to actually sit down in a stroller can be the real challenge.  I'm a mommy of 5 and it has been my experience that kids tend to grow out of strollers "in their minds" long before they grow out of the strollers due to their size.  In fact despite owning both strollers still, I find myself using a wagon for neighborhood walks because they will actually sit in it.

With all that said, I do think the Bumbleride is a touch bigger feeling if size is your biggest concern, but just a touch.

"Which stroller will best work for my infants?"

My Answer:  It's hard to beat the ability to put two car seats at the same time in the Stroll-Air.  The forward and reverse seating is a real plus at that age as well.

"Which stroller is best for dragging around on grassy soccer fields?"

My Answer:  If your planning to be off roading a ton like I do, you'll want to get air tires or go with the Bumbleride which already has them.

"Where can I get stroller liners for my Stroll-Air or Bumbleride?"

My Answer:  I've review two different kind of stroller liners over the years and found them both to be very well done.  The one brand Dimple's Monkey makes each set custom to your stroller's dimensions and choice of fabric.  The other brand, Tivoli Couture, has ready made "one size fits most" options.

"Off the record, can't you please just tell me which you like better?"

My Answer:  Honestly, I love them both!  I sympathize completely with how hard this decision can be and wish you the very best of luck as you make it!  It's hard for me to answer each and every email or comment in a timely manner, but if I missed something major.  Drop me a note and I'll try my best to get to it.

"I don't live too far from you in the Chicagoland area, can I just come over to try them both?"

My Answer:  Umm, sorry no?

*As previously stated in my other posts, all the products mentioned above were provided for my reviews.  Much thanks again to the mentioned companies.
