A 2010 Holiday Gift Guide Pick from "And Twins make 5!"

Making an appearance on our Holiday Gift Guide this year is the Learning Tower with the added Art Easel Attachment by Little Partners. It's an item that is clearly for the kids to use but will be equally prized by the adults in the home for it's overall usefulness.
Starting at about 1.5 years (18 months) the Learning Tower will easily become a fixture in your kitchen allowing your little one (or little ones in my case) to safely gather around the kitchen counter just like everyone else. It's truly been a gift of access.
My twin 2 year olds are thrilled to suddenly be eye level with the rest of the crowd. Now part of the action, they can stand about socializing on the same level with the rest of us. This safe platform makes it possible for them to observe dinner being prepared or even help with the preparation themselves. Next, move it to the sink area where they can wash their hands, help with dishes, or even wash the fruit and veggies.
I could go on and on about all you can do with your kids now that they can safely stand at counter height, the possibilities it opens up are endless. We carved pumpkins, made muffins, played with moon sand, and ate lunch standing up all in the first few days. And while you can likely see from the pictures that it is big enough for both of my twin boys to stand together space wise, I should also mention it's been tested to hold up to 500 lbs. Which is good because, while I doubt they will need it to withstand 500 lbs, I can easily see this item remaining a staple in our kitchen until the twins turn 6 or 7 years old.
Even further usefulness comes into to play with the addition of the optional art easel. A magnetized blackboard on one side and a magnetized white board on the other, this easel attachment adds additional educational and artistic aspects to what is already an awesome item. A large magnet allows for easy attachment of paper for painting or coloring too. So far we have played with magnets, painted, colored, done chalk art, and even used rubber stampers. The easel goes on and off quickly, plus it also can be wall hung later. You can even added a second easel for twins or siblings. We've actually asked Grandma to get us a second easel for Christmas so the twins don't have to continue sharing the one side or await their turn.
One last note on the Learning Tower, ours provided for review by Little Partners is black with a matching black easel. However, that is just one of the many colors available for the tower and easel. You can even go with one fun color for the tower itself and another for the easel. See their website www.littlepartners.com for the full range of options.
