This holiday season, Preschoolers (and their parents) will discover a new way to watch and play their favorite Disney preschool DVDs, with the all-new "Mickey Mote". This kid's remote control is a child-friendly handheld device, shaped like Mickey ears, that provides an engaging interaction with their favorite Disney characters. Parents can purchase either Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Mickey's Number Roundup and/or Handy Manny: Big Construction Job DVDs - which will each come specially packaged with the new Mickey Mote.
The Mickey Mote works with any Disney Preschool DVD that includes Discovery Mode, the interactive "Watch & Play" feature on the DVD. All parents have to do is program the remote control - there's an easy and quick set-up guide in each DVD- and select the Discovery Mode feature on the menu screen.
I put my 12 year old son on the job and he had programmed the whole thing within a couple minutes. My two year old twins took turns trying it out and had a lot of fun "interacting" with the shows characters. I was actually surprised at how well they did too. I thought they might just keep hitting random buttons but found they were responding to the prompts correctly.
Mickey Mote works in compatibility with any Discovery Mode enhanced DVD. I found I already owned a few other titles. Here's a list:
