I've been busy relocating, tossing, donating, organizing, and labeling. In order to take down the little wall between our kitchen, we had to find a new home for all the toys & games shelved in that hallway space.
I decided the best plan was to relocate them to our massive built in bookshelves right in the family / playroom. Most of the space was made by donating a vast majority of our already read books. Looks like it's time for me to get an E-Reader?
Looking to rid yourself of a few volumes collecting dust at your home? Contact local libraries, schools, hospitals, homeless shelters, charities, or even prisons about a donation.
I purchased a dozen of my fabric bin drawers from Target. They had a color nearly identical to my space allowing what could look like clutter to blend in nicely. I used these same Closetmaid Brand bins in lime green & light blue when doing our basement project last year. I've found them to hold up remarkably well for how light they are. This is a big plus for little ones who can't handle the extra weight of most bins.
While I was at it, I pulled out my Dymo labeler reviewed in December and labeled each bin. You'll want to be sure to use the d1 permanent label
Now let's hope they stay organized! The twins have gotten really good at understanding they can only take out one bin at a time, but it does take some coaching. No surprise, clean up isn't their favorite thing to do.
