Bumbleride Stroller introduces the Movement Edition

Over the past couple years, the twins & I have had the pleasure of testing out a few different strollers including the Bumbleride indie twin.  Our review post of that stroller has remained a very frequently visited one to this day.  Buying any stroller is a huge decision, even bigger if you are buying a double stroller.  Hardest still, in my opinion, is finding a double stroller that works well for twins.  Since Bumbleride is on our short list of strollers that work in this category, I thought readers and new visitors would want to hear about the latest developments for 2011.

Most noteworthy is the fact that Bumbleride is releasing a new edition this spring called the “Movement Edition” which features water-resistant sport fabrics, SPF 45 sun canopies and new color combinations.  This collection was inspired by and designed for the active, action/sports lifestyle.  The Movement Edition will be shipping in March and featured in two colors- Jet (a sleek black) and Fog (a warm grey).  It will be fitted on the Indie (all-terrain model), Indie Twin (double all-terrain model) and Flite (lightweight/umbrella model).

Our contact at Bumbleride confirms that "the main changes are indeed to the fabrics and basic mechanics are staying the same."  He pointed out that "basically the Movement Edition is for the very active family who also might like sportier colors."

However I am also told that their are some minor but important changes to the Flite, Indie, and Indie Twin.  Those changes include a dual Maxi Cosi infant adapter for the Indie Twin, Locking Carrycots vs.  fabric adjustable tab, a redsigned canopy as well as a redesigned rain shield, and the discontinuation of the Spice color.  Also, the Indie and Indie Twin will now be compatible with the Maxi Cosi Mico infant seat.  The Flyer and Queen B will stay the same.

Personally I lost an aunt a year or so back to skin cancer, so the addition of SPF fabrics particularly excites me.  I also can see the water resistant fabrics being a huge plus at those rainy sports events we frequent with the boys.
