POTLUCK FAVORITES On Newsstands Now

There is a new bookazine offering from the editors of Good Housekeeping, Redbook, and Country Living out just in time for the spring summer season.  It features 126 crowd pleasing recipes that are easy to make and good to go.   The selections include main dishes, pastas, salads, sides, desserts and drinks.  Potluck Favorites ($9.99) also includes tricks for fuss-free grilling and baking and product reviews of travel-friendly gear to ensure everything arrives fresh and picture-perfect to the buffet table.

The folks at Hearst Magazines gave us a chance to check out this special issue and my first reaction is Mmmm!  There are gobs of yummy portable recipes in this issue with mountains of pictures to entice you.  I may try to make the Salmon Noodle casserole dish this Friday.

Filled with backyard barbeque staples like Ultimate Ribs (pg. 58) and six types of kabobs, as well as variations on the classics like the Inside-Out Burger (pg. 50), Potluck Favorites also includes speedy three-ingredient sides (pg. 91), easy-to-make appetizers like Cherry Tomato Lollipops (pg. 93) and five variations on stuffed eggs (pg. 93), along with savory, slimmed-down versions of timeless favorites, such as Low-Fat Lasagna (pg. 8), and Healthy Makeover Fried Chicken (pg. 24) – even sweet treats, like a Slimmed-Down Key Lime Pie (pg. 105) that takes just 20 minutes to prepare.  A detailed recipe index (pg. 115) divides dishes by category, making it simple to build the perfect menu.
