We were provided by the company with a few new animal figurines from the wild life families collection including an adult and baby from the Water Buffalo, Kudo, and Artic Fox. My twins were really sweet playing with them. One immediately wanted to be all the “animal babies” while the other was equally satisfied to play the parent animal to each.
These figures really are the ideal size for bringing along to Grandma's house and the quality is exceptional enough that they will likely be around still when the boys are grandparents themselves. In fact, I think I am going pick up a few more to add to their Easter Baskets. (Babies in the one basket and Adults in the other of course.) Each Schleich figurine is designed in Germany and is available at Target, Toys R Us and independent toy stores across the country.We also had a chance to checkout a coffee-table book about the history of Schleich titled "Anywhere’s a Playground: Schleich 75th Anniversary", by Paul Kraut. The book features a full history of the company along with some beautiful photos of the creation process among other things.
