Kitchen Safety Item: Dispose-It-Guard

The kitchen sink garbage disposal has always made me a little nervous.  The potential for a little one getting hurt by it sends shivers down my back, so I was really excited to learn about a new safety device related to this household appliance.

The Dispose-It-Guard is an all-in-one sink stopper, strainer, safety poker and scraper.  When in place, it covers the hole of your disposal making reaching inside an impossibility without first removing the guard.  It can be placed in a stopper position allowing the sink to fill up or a strainer position which still allows for water flow.  When one needs to use the disposal, it is removed and used to safely aid in poking items into the disposal while protecting fingers and even includes a scraper at the end for stubborn items.
