One of my twins, Cormac, is totally breaking my heart with this whole getting use to school thing. His eyes well up with tears as he goes inside, but he still goes in without a fight. He tells me he likes school, but cries a couple times a day for a just tiny bit because he misses me. Yesterday he said I'm going to cry next time at school too. I questioned him thinking he meant he "wasn't" and he corrects me, no "I am going to cry again" because I always miss you. Break my mommy heart already!
Our other twin, Declan, is not talking. He tells us absolutely nothing about his day. Luckily Cormac was able to give us a few tidbits about Declan. "Declan didn't want to learn, he likes to just play toys. Someone had to go get him. Declan didn't clean up, he kept playing." Hmm maybe Declan was right, maybe his no news is good news stance was a better one?
Oh the teacher is likely loving my guys. One doesn't listen and one is crying off and on? At least my older kids seem to be settling in without any drama, though come to think of it .... they aren't really talking about it much either.
