My twin 3 year olds love playing kitchen or "restaurant" as they prefer to call it.  They would hold one of their older siblings hostage in their room playing for hours if they could.  Forcing them to sit at the little table in their room and order food.  They'd then be expected to "eat" the yummy creation and "pay" them for the meal.  The more real the chef tools and food are the more they get into it.



Learning Resources sent us their Pretend & Play Pro Chef Set to add to our kitchen play and both twins love it.  It comes with some very real look pans with see thru lids, equally realistic seeming spatula type items, mini oven mit, some mock food, and little guide we use as our menu.
