The GameChanger iPad board game from Identity Games

We recently had the chance to test out The GameChanger during family game night. It's part iPad gaming app, part traditional board game, and a lot of techy coolness.

The GameChanger provides an area to dock your iPad or iPad2 on it's touch sensitive board game for a new level of interactive iPad game play. The combination of real game pieces, video animations, and full sound sure does jazz up games like Scholastic's The Magic School Bus or AnimalMania.

The GameChanger currently comes with a game board, four game skins that form two complete games, and four playing pieces. We found it easy to set-up, easy to use and an amusing alternative to old school game boards. It certainly would be handy to only have to story a few board skins and pawns as opposed to all those game boxes we have now.

Our negative, it's currently priced a bit high (ARV $79.99) for the amount of games currently available, but more games said to be on the horizon for early 2012.
