Team Mom & Mega Brands recently gave us the opportunity to try one of the new Blok Squad buildable playsets. There are several different sets in this category, we were sent the 218 piece Construction Set.
The Blok Squad sets are aimed towards the 5 & older child, so while we do let our 3 year old twin boys play with them under our supervision; the fun involved in assembly was mainly enjoyed by big sister. This set took her about 2-3 hours to fully assemble. We were particularly impressed with the directions. They've come a long way since my oldest (now 17) was putting together these kind of sets. The included directions were fully detailed color instructions that she followed without any help. However, I should mention she did end up with a few extra pieces in the end.
After the fun of assembly was complete, it was time for some roleplaying fun. We drove the construction trucks around in play and eventually allowed the little guys to make some modifications
