This week our family was able to get a "Sneak Taste" of the KRAFT MILKBITE Bars. This new snack is officially coming to stores February 13th, but we were able to snack on two of the flavors, strawberry and chocolate, ahead of time.
What sets these apart from other bars? For starters, these bars aren't in the snack isle. Kraft Milkbite bars need to be stored in the fridge, so you'll find Kraft Milkbite bars in the dairy aisle or close by refrigerated food cases.
I love that each KRAFT MILKBITE Milk & Granola Bar combines real milk with whole grain granola and other tasty and nutritious ingredients like fruit or roasted nuts, while offering 30% of your daily recommended value of calcium. We only have 1 or 2 devout milk drinkers in the house, so I'm always glad to find a yummy product that can fill in for a glass here or there.
But will everyone eat them? The answer in our home was a yes. Kraft challenged us to pit these in a blind taste test against our normal brand of granola bars and I must admit I failed. I attempted a blind taste test, but the twins wouldn't go for it and the older kids quickly knew which was which because the Kraft bars were cold. Regardless, they sampled on these and another brand and declared these the better tasting bars. My 10 year old daughter, Cordelia, and one of the twins loved the sweetness of Strawberry ones best and my 13 year old son, Hayden, was a big fan of the Chocolate ones. I sided with the Strawberry fans. I'll definitely be visiting the stores cold section for more.
*Please note sample boxes of MilkBite Bars from Kraft Foods were provided as well as a gift card to purchase other bars for our taste test. However, all opinions are my own.
