Last year my husband decided he'd try doing our taxes himself instead of hiring a CPA as in years past.  After looking into a couple different options, he paid for and downloaded a copy of the H&R Block At Home Premium edition software. 


The selling point for him was that H&R Block had tax professionals available via chat if he had a question and it didn't hurt that even the priciest edition they offer was only $49.95.  He told me he found the software quite easy to use, so I was more than willing to share our experience with readers when they contacted me this year.

H&R Block provided me with a copy of this year's premium software so I could have a chance to check it out for myself and I can confirm it does look fairly straight forward.
